The Kansas City Chiefs have been handed a huge injury boost this week ahead of the NFL playoffs. With the Chiefs' Super Bowl three-peat quest set to enter its final stretch, Kansas City has designated cornerback Jaylen Watson to return from IR, according to FOX.
Watson has been sidelined with a broken fibular since late October and his return ahead of the final weekend of the regular season is a huge boost for the reigning champions. The defensive star has not played since the Chiefs' Super Bowl rematch against the San Francisco 49ers on October 20.
Watson was seen leaving the locker room on crutches with his left foot in a cast following the 28-18 victory. Watson had been a rising star in coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's defense, helping Kansas City shut down some of the NFL's best offenses through the first six games of the season.
