Kate Beckinsale claims she was "forced" to carry on a photoshoot while bleeding during a miscarriage. The actress, 51, has taken to social media to share her story following the lawsuit Blake Lively filed against her co-star Justin Baldoni. Blake, 37, worked with Justin, 40, on the movie adaption of Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel. The movie divided critics and was plagued by reports of backstage drama. Following months of rumours about a fallout between the leading stars, Blake has now accused her co-star and director of a co-ordinated effort to destroy her reputation, in legal papers seen by the Mirror.
But sharing her own experience in view of her 5.6 million followers on Instagram, Kate claimed a person she once employed told her that if she didn't turn up to a photoshoot, she would "be sued." The actress previously opened up in 2020 about suffering a miscarriage, several years ago. At the time, Kate said she had managed to "keep her pregnancy quiet" but felt "grief, shame and shock" following the tragic loss.
Speaking about her experience, Kate told fans: "I've been forced by a publicist that I was employing, to do a photoshoot the day after I'd had a miscarriage. I said 'I can't, I'm bleeding, I don't want to go and change my clothes in front of people I don't know. I don't want to go and do a photoshoot, I'm bleeding out a miscarriage'.".
Kate went on to say that her publicist, who she did not name commented: "You have to or you'll be sued." In 2020, Kate threw her support behind Chrissy Teigen who opened up about the loss of her own baby. Taking to Instagram, she said: "Years ago, I lost a baby at 20 weeks. I had managed to keep my pregnancy quiet and I absolutely collapsed inside and no one would have known.
