Comedian Katherine Ryan has spoke out on her daughter's claims she has used controversial weight loss jabs. The mum-of-three has been hit by accusations from her eldest daughter Violet, 14, after she became convinced she was taking Ozempic. The drug is a diabetes and anti-obesity medication, which recently has been favoured by celebrities as a weight loss treatment.

Katherine revealed her daughter came to her with concerns after she watched a series of cautionary videos about using such drugs for weight loss. Side effects can include vomiting, stomach pain and constipation. In a bold claim, Violet accused her famous mum of taking a weight loss jab.

The TV star said: "[Violet] said to me the other day, 'Mum, there's like people on TikTok who are going to hospital and they're getting very sick because they're taking Ozempic. I can actually tell that you're on Ozempic.'" Katherine insisted she has never taken the drug, yet her daughter remained unconvinced.

She added: "I was like, I'm not on Ozempic, why do you say that? And she said 'it's because obviously you have Ozempic face. It's the reason why your skin is like really struggling. It's like hangy and wrinkly now. And I want you to stop using Ozempic because it's obviously hurting you."'.

Katherine did admit she had turned to other alternatives to quick fix weight loss jabs, including specialist consultations and articles on 'Korean plastic surgery.' She continued: "I'm like, girl, this is what over 40 looks like, enjoy it while you can. We all eventually start to get what now children have been radicalised into calling Ozempic face.".
