KATYA Jones has risked the wrath of BBC bosses by supporting Wynne Evans amid his Strictly sleaze scandal. The professional dancer broke ranks to share footage of the Go Compare singer, admitting she "really missed" him on the live tour. Under-fire Wynne also agreed to take time out from his BBC radio show following concerns over lewd sexual comments.

The Sun can reveal Katya has not yet been spoken to by BBC bosses. Our insider said: "Normally, celebrities are inclined to stay silent in the midst of a scandal, but Katya has been vocal with our support of Wynne online. "Nothing has been brought up officially by the BBC as of yet, but those involved would prefer if she didn't comment and everything was dealt with in-house.".

Wynne and the Strictly stars' welfare continues to be a priority for the BBC, a show source said. During his time on Strictly, opera star Wynne was plunged into a scandal when he was seen sliding his hands across the stomach of his pro partner Katya Jones.

Then came his latest lewd gaffe at the Strictly Live Tour when he joked about "spit-roasting" pro dancer Janette Manrara - which was captured on camera. Wynne said in a statement yesterday: “I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly live tour, as well as all my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused and plan to take this time for self reflection. “Apologies to those I won’t get to see for the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.”.
