England have now lost their fourth consecutive ODI series, though it is worth noting that Duckett, 30, has been one of the better performers for England throughout, including scoring a half-century in the second ODI.
Kevin Pietersen has criticised Ben Duckett for suggesting he 'didn't care' if England lost the one-day series to India 3-0, so long as they beat them in the Champions Trophy.
Adil Rashid was the best of England's bowlers, taking 4-64, though India still cruised to victory by 142 runs after England were all out for 214 after less than 35 overs, while the hosts had posted a target of 356.
“Goodness me, it’s pretty poor that Duckett would say that he doesn’t care if England lose today and lose 3-0 to India," Pietersen wrote before the final ODI in Ahmedabad.
Having lost the T20I series 4-1, England’s woes continued in the ODI format where they lost all three matches in the series.
