Khloé Kardashian is getting slammed for criticising LA city’s Mayor for allegedly cutting the fire department’s funding. Many social media users spoke out against Khloé after the Kardashian sister, 40, posted on Instagram attacking Mayor Karen Bass as wildfires in LA continue to rage.

The fires in the Los Angeles area, which have been burning since January 7, have destroyed more than 10,000 buildings and killed at least 24 people with 150,000 under evacuation orders. Numerous celebrities have lost their homes, including Paris Hilton, James Woods, Eugene Levy, and Mel Gibson.

The reality star posted an image of L.A. Fire Chief on FOX 11 LA accusing the mayor of limiting the departments ability to fight fires with budget cuts. She captioned the post: ‘I stand by YOU Chief Crowley!!!! You spoke the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn’t even want to say that but it was THE TRUTH!!!!’.

She continued: ‘Thank you for being honest @losangelesfiredepartment Chief Crowley’ and then: ‘Mayor Bass you are a joke!!!!!’. Many users online took issue with Khloé’s outspoken statement, given that the Kardashians came under fire in June 2022 for using too much water during a drought.

Khloé’s Calabasas home used roughly 101,000 gallons of water over the allotted limit while her sister Kim’s properties used 232,000 excess gallons of water, according to TMZ. X user @Yashvanth_26 wrote: ‘It’s ironic to criticize leadership on fire management when your own family is contributing to resource strain during a drought. Instead of pointing fingers, maybe focus on setting a better example by addressing your excessive water usage.’.
