A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering two women and knifing a teen boy in a Christmas Day rampage. Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, were discovered dead at a flat in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, on Wednesday night. A teen boy, who cannot be named, and local Bradley Latter, 29, were also knifed in the horror.
Jazwell Brown appeared at Luton Crown Court today charged with two counts of murder and attempted murder. The 49-year-old is also accused of possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, a Staffordshire bull terrier.
That charge relates to a dog that was rushed to a vet after being injured in the tragedy. Brown spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. He was remanded into custody to next appear at the same court on March 21. No pleas were entered but a provisional trial date was set for June 17.
The horror unfolded at around 6.30pm inside in a flat in the Bletchley area of Milton Keynes. One neighbour claimed the injured young boy ran out the home screaming before taking refuge in a house close-by. Another local said a party had been taking place when a woman appeared on the balcony shouting: "I can't breathe, I can't breathe".
They added: "Moments later the teenager has come out the front door screaming and shouting - it was like a horror movie. "Then the dog ran out - it was a little white dog, but you couldn’t tell because it was covered in blood.". Both the teen boy and victim Bradley remain in hospital in a stable condition.
