King Charles was spotted in public for the first time since Christmas Day, accompanied by his sister Princess Anne. The 76 year old monarch and the 74 year old Princess Royal were greeted by well-wishers as they journeyed from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene church in Sandringham for Sunday service.

Both royals seemed cheerful, bundled up against the cold, with Charles donning a thick winter coat and tailored trousers. Princess Anne sported her signature red scarf, a tartan skirt and jacket combo, and a beanie hat, accompanied by her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

Queen Camilla was noticeably absent as the King headed for morning service. This is the first sighting of King Charles since he hosted Christmas alongside Queen Camilla for approximately 45 members of the Royal Family. Prior to today, he was last seen on the walk to church on Christmas Day morning, joined by several royals including his eldest son Prince William, daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, and grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Other royals participating in the annual Sandringham walkabout on December 25 included Princess Anne, Mike Tindall and Zara Tindall.

Princess Beatrice, who is expecting her second child, was seen at the Christmas Day church service with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and stepson Wolfie. Her father, Prince Andrew, was noticeably absent from this year's festivities due to recent controversy over his association with a Chinese businessman, now suspected to be a spy, reports the Express.
