Morning Live presenter Kym, who previously starred in Coronation Street and began her career in the band Hear’Say, suffered the loss of her dad in January, making the Christmas and New Year period a doubly difficult one.
And Christmas is a time to reflect on another tragedy for Kym since the baby she shared with ex-husband and actor Jamie Lomas, died in 2009.
And she shared the story of her terminally ill father’s passing with viewers of Morning Live, with scenes showing him in The Cavern Club in Liverpool, where David had performed music on the same stage as The Beatles in the 1960s.
Kym, 48, shared a moving video with her fans showing her family releasing a helium balloon into the sky at Christmas.
