With devastating wildfires continuing to force thousands of people across Los Angeles from their homes, Airbnb has committed to providing free, emergency housing for thousands of people impacted by the fires, including survivors, evacuees, first responders, and firefighters.

Wildfires have raged across the Golden State for the last six days, reducing many people's homes to rubble, as thousands living in the paths of six separate blazes in the city were ordered to evacuate for their own safety. A whole host of celebrities have revealed their homes have burned down in the devastating fires, including Paris Hilton who is donating £82,000 to those have lost their homes.

So far, at least 10 people have been confirmed dead in the fires in California, as forecasters fear the situation will only get worse as strong winds build up in the state. READ MORE: Kenneth Fire in West Hollywood Hills investigated as arson as one person arrested.

The latest evacuation order issue for California was issued on Friday, and extends to part of the Interstate 405 highway and Encino Reservoir where it borders the I-405 freeway and famed Getty Center. Active evacuation alerts in the state currently affect 100,000 residents.

Airbnb has teamed up with 211 LA, a free, 24/7 resource that connects Los Angeles County residents with health, human, and social service, to provide free temporary housing in times of crisis. On January 10 Brian Chesky, Founder and CEO of Airbnb, said: "Today, Airbnb is committing to help house an additional 25,000 people who have been impacted by the fires, including survivors, evacuees, first responders, and firefighters. The situation is devastating, and we’ll continue to do everything we can to support the Los Angeles community.".
