LeBron James is praying for the end of the 'nightmare' engulfing Los Angeles as wildfires continue to devastate California. By Saturday morning, the disaster had already claimed the lives of at least 11 people and destroyed more than 10,000 structures.

Lakers coach JJ Redick and Warriors coach Steve Kerr are among those to have lost their homes in the flames. And as firefighters continue to battle the fires around California, James sent a message to the people of his adopted hometown. 'I pray this nightmare ends soon!' the four-time NBA champion wrote on social media. 'So many prayers,' he added.

The NBA also pushed back the LA Clippers' game against the Charlotte Hornets, which was slated for Saturday, too. 'The game postponements ensure no resources will be diverted from the wildfire response efforts,' the NBA said. 'The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association are donating $1million... to support those affected by this disaster and are working with the Lakers and Clippers on ways to support longer term assistance and rebuilding efforts.'.
