Ibrahima Konate's sweet assist enabled Szoboszlai to fire Liverpool in front n 11 minutes.,. Salah then cracked a landmark strike after Gakpo picked out the strike legend at the backpost. And Gakpo himself made it 3-0 just before the break. Ryan Gravenberch capped a fine move by feeding Szoboszlai, whose shot was blocked by Ipswich keeper Christian Walton, only for Gakpo to bundle it home.
The Dutch winger then completed his own double midway through the second period. Ipswich, smashed 6-0 at home by Manchester City last time out, had appeared to start with a caution-first police. But Szoboszlai's strike blew any such plan away. And Liverpool going 3-0 up before the break helped turn the second period into an anti-climax.
