LIVERPOOL are reportedly tracking Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's situation ahead of a January transfer. The Napoli star could leave the Serie A side this month despite his contract running until 2027. Kvaratskhelia, 23, is one of the most highly-rated attackers in Europe following his performances in Naples.

The Georgian has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the past as well as the Premier League. The Athletic have claimed that Liverpool are one English side in the running for his signature. The report states that the Merseyside outfit could consider a move for him should he leave Napoli.

The Reds are said to be "admirers" of Kvaratskhelia and are "alert" to his situation. Liverpool will also have to compete with the likes of Chelsea and PSG, who are said to be interested. A move for the winger would not come cheap with reports in Italy claiming he has a price tag of £67million.

Should Liverpool pull off the deal then Kvaratskhelia would become the club's third most expensive player of all time. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS. Only Virgil van Dijk's £75m transfer from Southampton and Darwin Nunez's £85.36m arrival from Benfica have cost the club more.

Arne Slot has only seen one new player arrive at Anfield since he was named manager last summer. The Dutchman signed Federico Chiesa from Juventus for £8million but the Italian has struggled to impress. Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has also been bought by the club but was left at LaLiga side Valencia on loan.
