The importance of this game for Liverpool is massive, it really is. Not just because they are playing Manchester United, but because of the implications it could have on the title race. With Arsenal dropping points yesterday, Liverpool now have the chance to go eight points clear and still have a game in hand.
I mean, that would be a monster gap - some would say unassailable. On paper, today should be a breeze. They are unbeaten in their last 23 matches in all competitions and have been banging in goals for fun. Surely they will get all three points today?. Well, as the cliche goes, football isn't played on paper. You never know what will happen. Manchester United could surprise everybody.
