London superclub Drumsheds has retained its licence to operate following two drug deaths and a stabbing at the venue in recent months. Enfield Council confirmed that the club and event space in Tottenham would be allowed to remain open with “modified conditions” after a licence meeting on Tuesday.

Cllr Susan Erbil, Cabinet member for Planning and Regulatory Services at Enfield Council, said: “Enfield Council's primary concerns remain the safety and wellbeing of its residents. Today, the licensing sub-committee heard the representations provided to them by the police and representatives on behalf of the venue management and agreed that the premises licence holder should retain their licence with modified conditions.

“Council officers and the police will continue to monitor the premises and undertake compliance checks but it is the premises licence holder’s responsibility to ensure the conditions are upheld.”. It comes as the Met Police continues to investigate the death of a 27-year-old man who attended an event at Drumsheds on October 12 last year. His death is believed to be drug-related.

A 29-year-old woman also died in hospital after attending an event at the venue on December 7, in what police believe is a drug-related death. On November 16, officers were called to Drumsheds after a man was attacked with a weapon in the venue. No arrests have been made over any of the three incidents.
