Luca Bish, 25, has been called out for his less than enthusiastic response to being back on Love Island : All Stars. The Celebrity MasterChef contestant returned to the villa on January 13, meeting up with host Maya Jama and his fellow stars. Fans soon noticed, however, that Luca wasn’t acting anywhere near as animated as the rest of the cast, and accused him of not wanting to be on the show at all. Body language expert Judi James agreed, telling Paddy Power Games that he was showing signs he didn’t want to be on the show.
“Luca’s body language was completely counter intuitive. He looked like he didn’t even want to be there. Arriving with Olivia, he turned his head away in what looked like an avoidance gesture, as though they’d fallen out before even stepping into the villa,” Judi said, referring to his arrival with Olivia Hawkins.
Judi also read hints that there might be something deeper going on behind the awkwardness: “When Olivia’s name was called, Luca kept his hands firmly in his pockets – a classic signal of wanting to hide. He looked down, his mouth pulling into a miserable grimace, and Olivia’s nodding and strained smile didn’t help.
"Their smiles quickly faded, leaving us with the intriguing fact that they ‘live close’. It’s not much of a connection, but it might spark some hidden drama.”. On X, formerly known as Twitter, many fans picked up on the same signs as Judi as they watched the show live, and called Luca out for his behaviour. “Luca has the body language and attitude of a 15 year old petulant teenage boy who’s been dragged abroad on his hols by his mum,” said one, with another agreeing: “Luca isn’t even making eye contact with anyone and he sounds like he doesn’t wanna be there. Bye.”.
