LOVE Island star Mary Bedford has shared every passenger's worst nightmare, after she and a friend were denied entry onto their plane for Thailand. The influencer and model, who first appeared on TV screens for the seventh series of Love Island in 2021, revealed to fans online that her New Year's trip faced serious jeopardy.
Sharing a selfie of herself and her pal with their suitcases in a life to Instagram, Mary hinted at the drama as she wrote: "Just two girls at 5am on Monday morning who had no idea the stress they was about to encounter". In the next Story, Mary linked out to her Snapchat as she told fans: "1 hour later after being denied entry to the plane.".
Posting a full explainer video to her Snapchat, Mary detailed how she and her pal Chantelle arrived at Manchester Airport excited for their trip and checked in suitcases. However they hit issues when Mary's friend was told she wouldn't be able to fly due to a rip in her passport, with Mary explaining: "Obviously, she didn't know about the rip in the passport, but they was like Phuket is so strict.
"You will land there, get held in a room for 24 hours and then get deported straight back to the UK.". The girls were given some advice by airport staff, who advised them to get to the Passport office in Liverpool for when it opened at 8am and see if there was a chance an emergency passport could be sorted.
