Darts icon Bobby George was at the same event and shared how Humphries' game wasn't hampered by the need to switch to new darts.
Humphries has enjoyed a stellar 2024, extending his lead at the world rankings summit and bagging two more major titles – the World Matchplay and the Players Championship Finals crown.
So he came back with a brand-new set of darts and he said, 'I don't like playing with these', especially with the World Championship coming up.
He's now gearing up for the big event at Ally Pally by participating in exhibitions, including one in Finland - but things didn't go quite as planned when his preferred darts went missing during the journey.
