Man City's £68m new signing says farewell to supporters ahead of transfer Omar Marmoush bid farewell to the Frankfurt fans ahead of his move to Manchester City as he applauded them on the pitch after being excluded from their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
City got their wish after Marmoush instead watched from the stands as Hugo Ekitike and Oscar Hojlund scored the goals - though the Egyptian international made his way onto the pitch at full time.
Earlier in the day, Frankfurt had confirmed that Marmoush had been left out of the Dortmund squad as they made light of negotiations with City.
The club said: "Eintracht Frankfurt are currently in talks with another club regarding the transfer of Omar Marmoush.
Marmoush is the Bundesliga's second highest scorer this season behind Harry Kane and his 15 goals have helped lift Frankfurt to third in the table.
