Man found dead in Suffolk home named as police launch murder inquiry A man who was found dead in a house in Ipswich has been named by police as they launch a murder inquiry.
Suffolk Police said preliminary results from a Home Office post-mortem examination on Saturday indicate the cause of death as "being from multiple injuries", with the force's major investigation team leading a murder inquiry.
Police have appealed for anybody with information or who saw any suspicious activity near the address between December 24 and January 1 to contact police quoting reference 37/162/25.
Suffolk Police said officers were called to an address in Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich, shortly before 6pm on January 1.
Suffolk Police said an increased police presence "will remain while inquiries continue".
