Manchester United's players and staff were forced to take two buses back their Carrington base on Sunday night after their flight was cancelled. United secured a much-needed win over Fulham on Sunday evening, with Lisandro Martinez's second-half strike enough to secure a 1-0 win that lifted them to 12th in the Premier League table.
Ruben Amorim's side have now won two of their last three matches in the league, also securing back-to-back victories since the Portuguese branded his players the 'worst team in history' of the club. It was also an away win for the Red Devils, who toppled an impressive Fulham, but the journey back wasn't plain sailing and they arrived back at Carrington, their training ground, at 1:30am early on Monday morning.
Overall, the journey took nearly three-and-a-half hours on two separate buses from London, with the two vehicles seen pulling into a car park at Manchester airport in the early hours. That was because most of the team had parked their cars there because they were initially due to fly back from the game before their flight was cancelled.
