The keeper was at fault for two of Brighton's three goals - dropping a huge clanger as he palmed a simple cross straight to Georginio Rutter under no pressure whatsoever. Minutes earlier he watched as Yankuba Minteh floated a cross over the six-yard box which he should have come to collect - his failure to do so meant Kaoru Mitoma had a simple tap in at the back post.

There were few positive notes for the Red Devils as Amad once again provided a spark. Here is how SunSport's Ken Lawrence rated the United display. No chance with the Seagulls’ first goal.
