ALTAY BAYINDIR had a game to forget as Manchester United were dumped out of the Carabao Cup. Not many of the Red Devils were able to impress as they were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur. Bayindir, 26, was at fault as Tottenham took the lead in the first half.
The Turkish stopper could only parry a Pedro Porro effort into the path of Dominic Solanke, who fired in the rebound. Dejan Kulusevski made it 2-0 as he capitalised on a poor clearance from Lisandro Martinez before Solanke got his brace to make it 3-0.
One shining light in the performance was Bruno Fernandes' efforts as he set up Joshua Zirkzee to tap home. Amad Diallo gave the Red Devils hope as his determination forced home a second. However, the result was put beyond doubt as Bayindir allowed a corner from Son Heung-min to fly all the way in.
Jonny Evans netted a late header from an Amad corner as a consolation for the travelling fans. SunSport's Katherine Walsh has provided her ratings of the Man United squad... Was responsible for Spurs' opener when he spilled Pedro Porros' shot into the path of Dominic Solanke inside 15 minutes. Did well to stop Dejan Kulusevski from close range around 10 minutes later but went on to concede three more goals far too easily. His nightmare was finished off when he flapped as Son made it 4-2 from a direct CORNER in the 88th minute. Perhaps Onana isn't so bad?.
