Follow Mail Sport's live blog of the fourth round FA Cup tie between Manchester United and Leicester City as the Red Devils seek to book a spot in the fifth round. By Harry Bamforth. Ruben Amorim, Manchester United boss, speaking on Thursday:. When Ruben Amorim walked through the door in November, there was a sense of optimism that Manchester United finally have the no-nonsense boss they have been in dire need of.

The Red Devils fans I know told me at the time 'United are back', you know, like they always seem to do when something positive happens at their club. Well, they haven't been saying it too much of late because frankly there has not been a lot to shout about. I even had a United fan tell me 'I'm Amorim out if we lose tonight'. Yep, that's where we are out now. Some United fans may read that and think it's ridiculous, but I am sure many other supporters will be feeling a similar way due to the club's form.

Things just haven't got better. We are 24 games into the Premier League season and United are still down in 13th, it truly is bonkers. There have been some promising moments in the last four months, like the win at Manchester City, the draw at Liverpool, and the win over Arsenal in this very conversation. However, results against so-called minnows have been appalling. They have basically become Robin Hood.

Anyway, it's fair to say the pressure Is actually starting to be felt by Amorim. He was given a bit of leeway at the start due to his different system, but now patience is starting to be lost. You feel he has to get a positive result tonight or some small mumblings will turn to grumblings. It's a big night for Amorim. I feel like I am getting de ja vu... This is not the first time Manchester United and Leicester have faced off this season.

It's not even just the second. It's actually the third time these two teams have played each other this campaign and all three have been at Old Trafford. I feel like I am in the children's television show That's So Raven - I have seen this all unfold before but it's happening again. Ruud van Nistelrooy was actually in interim charge of United in the last two meetings, with the Red Devils comfortably winning both.

But this time he will be leading the Foxes into battle in just another chapter of what has been a bonkers season in football for the Dutchman. I will talk more about Van Nistelrooy very soon, but first I want to put emphasis on how big tonight is for United and Ruben Amorim. I mean, it's huge. The Red Devils are back in a rut with pretty much nothing to play for in the Premier League, so the importance on the FA Cup has only got bigger.

Also, don't forget, they are the holders so it's their obligation to turn up in this competition, isn't it?. Whether they do is yet to be seen. Just as artist Goerge Jones sings, it's finally Friday!. I can comfortably say that this is everybody's favourite day of the week, am I right?. I mean, you have all been working all week, which isn't always exciting. You've been waiting for this day all week, which can be boring. But there is no need to worry now because it's Friday night.

Anybody reading this who is an X Factor fan will definitely have understood the references in the last paragraph. If you aren't, then it may just look like a weird bit of writing. Anyway, the fact of the matter is that it's Friday and we have yet more footie on offer for you, which is always a good thing. After the thrills and spills of the Carabao Cup over the last two days we now have an extended weekend of FA Cup fourth round action.
