Chris Taylor has revealed that he's in a new relationship as he opened up about his love life in an interview on Thursday. The influencer, 34, who found fame on Love Island in 2019 where he met ex-girlfriend Maura Higgins, revealed he is now trying to date out of the public eye. Chris, who is currently starring on Dancing On Ice, explained that his new partner has never seen him on a TV program before which he liked as she had 'no preconception' of him.
Speaking on Not My Bagg podcast, he said: 'I am dating a girl. She's from Brighton so not that local, a bit of a distance. 'Luckily the girl I'm dating hasn't seen me on a TV program so there's been no preconception of what I'm like. I'm so comfortable with her though that I can actually be myself even more than I am on tele.'. Chris admitted they are still in the 'early stages' and doesn't want to 'complicate' anything by making the relationship public yet.

He continued: 'It's quite early stages but I don't know if I want that complication. I've given a lot of myself to TV - more than maybe I should've of. So I've got to hold a bit back for myself.
'But she's already seen me [on Dancing On Ice], she saw me last week.'. Chris revealed the pair enjoyed a romantic lavish getaway to Bali over the festive season and they are now even stronger than ever. The reality star said: 'I went to Bali with the girl that I'm dating over Christmas and I literally gave her seven straight days of ick. 'I'm talking I fell down the stairs, I got annihilated by mosquitoes I had like four panic attacks whilst we were snorkeling, I got Bali belly projectile all night. I did all that and we're still dating.
'I was reminded though that it's Valentines Day soon, I'm in Dancing On Ice world at the minute, so I will have to whip something out for that'. Chris's ex-girlfriend Maura appeared on Dancing On Ice in 2020 and had a rumoured fling with her professional partner Alexander Demetriou, who has since gone on to remarry. He previously dated Arabella Chi on Love Island All Stars last year before their romance ended on sour terms and he later made a move on Molly Smith, who declined his advances, and eventually won the show with boyfriend Tom Clare.
When the summer series of Love Island launched in June, Chris joined former Islanders Amy Hart and Indiyah Polak as hosts of The Morning After podcast and appeared with presenter Maya Jama on the Aftersun panel. Chris, who is currently starring on Dancing On Ice, explained that his new partner has never seen him on a TV program which he liked as she had 'no preconception' of him. He joined the cast of E4's Celebs Go Dating in August and spoke openly about his past struggles with 'social anxiety', which negatively impacted his romantic life.
The Love Island star is preparing to take on the fifth week of Dancing On Ice with new professional partner Robin Johnstone, after his original partner Vanessa Bauer was forced to withdraw due to tearing ligaments in her leg while rehearsing for last Sunday's show. Sunday saw Chris and Robin skate to the Pokémon Theme, but their performance was overshadowed after they lost their footing and tumbled onto the ice before regaining their composure and completing the routine.
Their new partnership came after Vanessa announced her withdrawal from the show in an Instagram video, after suffering a serious injury. The skater said: 'I'm here today with rather upsetting news. I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris. 'That's really upsetting for me. I have trained Chris since October last year and it is always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else progress so much in a skill they've never done before.
'So it's been really rewarding for me to watch this whole journey for Chris [and] the way he's got better week since October and also since the live shows started.'. She added: 'I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday. 'And I didn't realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury.
