The blueberry-flavoured milkshake is another classic US menu item and was inspired by the Grimace mascot but only featured on menus again, for two weeks.
The fast food chain is launching the Shamrock Shake in UK stores on Wednesday, March 12.
McDonald's said it will also donate 20p from each sale of the drink to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Rumours that the green shake could be coming to the UK started to circulate online over the last few days.
