Melanie Sykes has breast implants removed after 14 years and suffers complication from surgery After 14 years, Melanie Sykes had her breast implants removed, with the star now revealing she suffered a complication which has made her recovery longer than usual.
The TV presenter has opened up in a vulnerable YouTube video about her breast implant journey, detailing that while getting them removed, there was a complication which has limited her movement on one side of her upper body and resulted in a painful recovery, taking her months to come back from when it should have only taken weeks.
Now, after more than 10 years with them and despite telling MailOnline in 2012 that "it was one of the best things I've ever done", the former Today show host said she decided earlier this year to have her implants removed in order to embrace her natural body.
In a video titled "Sensitive and thriving", the star said she has been taking it easy and recovering after the surgery, noting it's taking a bit longer than usual as she suffered a complication during the procedure.
Melanie, 54, first chose to get breast enhancement surgery in 2010 after she gave birth to her two sons, Roman, 22 and Valentino, 20, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Daniel Caltagirone.
