Dulce - whose real name is Bertha Elisa Noeggerath Cárdenas - is known for hit tracks such as Dejame Volver Contigo (1982) and Soy Tu Dama (1985). Her sister, Isabel Noeggerath, also announced the performer's passing on Facebook and penned, 'Sister, you are already with our mother in heaven singing to her, I will miss you, rest in peace, I love you.'.

'She had been suffering from lung issues and was on a strong medication regimen that worsened her health in the days leading up to her death, particularly due to kidney complications from intense treatment.'.
