LUKE HUMPHRIES has revealed that Michael van Gerwen was PUNCHED by his best pal Vincent van der Voort. He said: “Well, that’s easy, Michael van Gerwen. “He wears it really, really well. It kind of suits him in a weird way. He just kind of, I think it’s a Dutch thing as well. “They’re kind of like that. He’s got a great friend in Vincent. I think that Vincent's really good for him.”.

Van der Voort was Van Gerwen’s best man at his wedding and a former UK Open finalist and has won four PDC titles. But persistent back injuries hampered his career and he’s finally quit the game. However, he remains a mentor to MVG and was at the Ally Pally to help his mate last month.

But Humphries revealed they have had their big bust-ups. JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS. He added: “Because I think there was a story he told me once, Vincent, that he's actually punched Michael a couple of times in the face. Like punched him. “Not like absolutely batter him. But I think the first time was really early, and then they became friends.
