Millie Bobby Brown has said that she is "nowhere near ready to leave" Stranger Things as filming the show's final episode comes to an end. The 20-year-old actress took to her Instagram page on Friday to share an emotional video after she choked back tears while thanking the cast and crew of the hit Netflix series. Millie posted a montage of moments from her time on the show, which saw her make her debut, aged 12, playing Eleven.
Through tears on the final day of filming, Millie said on the clip: "Isn't graduation supposed to bring relief? Like you're glad to leave behind the teachers and classmates. Not me. I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys. I love each and every one of you and I will forever carry the memories and bonds we created together as a family. I love you, thank you.".
Filming for the final series, season five, began in January and came to a close as the year reaches its end. Stranger Things will return to Netflix during 2025 but a date has not been shared as yet. Marking the end of filming, Millie also shared photos from her time on the hit show, captioning the carousel of pics: "with love, el.".
In an interview with ComingSoon in February, Millie admitted that there was some sadness on set as they began filming the final series. She said: "It does feel sad. Every day we go on set, we're like, it is the last second day, the last third day. But we're definitely embracing it all.".
Away from Stranger Things, Millie has seen romance blossom with Jake Bongiovi, the 22-year-old son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, who she married in a small ceremony in May, after two years of dating. This has given her happiness in her personal life and let her start looking beyond Stranger Things.
