Missing girl, 11, found ‘murdered’ in woods after vanishing from school with purple backpack as man and woman arrested FRENCH cops have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 11-year-old girl was found in woodland near her school.
But hopes of finding Louise alive were shattered when officers discovered her body early Saturday morning in Parc des Templiers woodlands, less than a mile from her school.
Louise Lasalle, from Essonne in northern France, vanished shortly before 2pm on Friday after leaving André-Maurois middle school in Épinay-sur-Orge.
"My little sister Louise Lassalle disappeared at 2 pm near Andre Maurois college in Epinay.
The pair were taken into custody at their home in Épinay-sur-Orge just before 12.45 am on Saturday — before Louise's body was found.
