SINCA brings a unique blend of her French-Canadian and Peruvian roots into her music. The Montréal resident, real name Gabriela Sinclair-Desgagné, has been making her mark through her house, progressive and melodic techno tunes on tastemaker labels such as John Digweed’s Bedrock, Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream and Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep.

With her music catching the ears of some of the world's best DJs some impressive gigs have followed from Coachella, Burning Man and the Brooklyn Mirage to SXM Festival, Piknik Electronic and Sziget Festival. We caught up with Sinca this week to mark the release of her remix of Husa & Zeyada’s We Are Alive track which is out now on their label Soundscool.

She’s compiled a playlist of current tunes working her dance floors this festival season. Read what she had to say about the music which includes her new remix below. Husa & Zeyada – Are We Alive (Sinca Remix). I’ve been a fan of Husa & Zeyada’s unique, groovy sound and Zeyada’s captivating vocals, so when they asked me to remix Are We Alive, I felt honored. I aimed to keep its essence while adding an indie dance vibe, and it’s exciting to be part of their new label Sound Cool from the start.

Jiggler – Delight. This track has been a regular in my sets lately. It embodies the blend I enjoy: progressive, deep, dark groove with percussion and melodies that add a hopeful and smoothing effect. Le Chev – Cherry. A personal favourite, combining classic house riffs with a rich, deep groove. The hopeful vocals and ad-libs bring out an uplifting vibe.
