Sandra, the mother of waiter Braian, appeared on live television in Argentina, where she burst into tears as she discussed her son being one of five implicated in the shocking death of the One Direction star.
The other three suspects, Liam's close friend Roger Nores, chief hotel receptionist Esteban Grassi and the hotel's head of security Gilda Martin, have been charged with manslaughter but allowed to remain free while their prosecution continues.
Paiz was one of five men charged following Liam's death at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel last year.
Paiz and 21-year-old Ezequiel David Pereyra, who is currently suspended from his job at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, are charged with supplying Liam with drugs in exchange for money.
