A bride-to-be revealed plans for her wedding have turned sour after she shunned her pregnant sister's suggestion to host a big gender reveal at the reception. The woman, 29, from the U.S., took to Reddit to share her excitement at planning her upcoming nuptials with her fiancé - but her sibling's proposal to merge the wedding and gender reveal into a joint occasion has since caused a rift.

Posting anonymously as u/baby_luna_star, the woman detailed her frustration in the popular subbreddit, R/AmITheA*****e, on 7 January. The woman explained that she and her 31-year-old fiancé had been planning the big day for over a year while her younger sister, 26, is expecting her first child.
She added: 'My sister is one of the Pinterest-loving, gender-reveal-party-enthusiasts. 'She's been planning this big reveal since she found out she was pregnant - I swear her Pinterest boards are a terrifying mix of pink and blue confetti and cake explosions.'.
The bride-to-be went on to explain that during a recent family dinner with their parents, she was left stunned after her sister 'dropped the bomb' that she wanted to host the gender reveal at the wedding reception. She added: 'She even had a plan ready: halfway through reception, she'd cut the cake, and boom, it's either pink or blue inside. She seemed genuinely excited, but I was a bit taken aback.'.
