But he's no stranger to the entertainment industry, as the son of Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington. Martin, 53, starred in The Office and played Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit trilogy. And he'll no doubt play a part in your festive celebrations thanks to his role in Christmas classic Love Actually.

He plays John, the body double who's seen shooting raunchy scenes with Judy, played by Gavin and Stacey's Joanna Page. Meanwhile Amanda, 50, is known for roles including Josie Mardle in Mr Selfridge and Sherlock's Mary Morstan. Martin and Amanda - who also share daughter Grace, 16 - got together in 2000 and split in 2016.

He has since found love with his French actress girlfriend Rachel Benaissa. And Amanda has been with stuntman Jonathan Goodwin since 2021. Amanda spent much of this year embroiled in a feud with former Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice, after she lodged complaints about his conduct when they were paired up for the show.

The BBC spent six months analysing 17 complaints made by Amanda after she quit the show last year. The corporation apologised to Amanda after upholding six of them. But the report concluded that Giovanni was not abusive to Amanda, did not make threats and was not intimidating.
