Netflix viewers can now binge all seasons of a series labelled as the ‘greatest family drama of all time’. Created by Friday Night Lights’ Jason Katims, Parenthood ran for six seasons from 2010 until 2015. Loosely based on the 1989 film of the same name starring Steve Martin, the series was set in Berkeley, California and followed three generations of the Braverman family – patriarch Ezekiel ‘Zeek’ Braverman, matriarch Camille Braverman, and the families of their four children Adam, Sarah, Crosby, and Julia.
Some of the cast included Ray Romano, Lauren Graham, Dax Shepard, Peter Krause and Craig T. Nelson. The series currently holds an 88% rating on review site Rotten Tomatoes, with fans posting their opinions of the show on there. ‘Absolutely love it! This is one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. It’s got real life stories that make me laugh and then 5 min later it will make me cry. Amazing actors and scripts. Brilliantly balanced, I just love it. I could watch it every day,’ Avata shared.
‘I cry every episode. This is such an amazing series. They are like family to me. I love this show & the writing team,’ someone else posted. ‘Words can’t describe how outstanding this show is. Full of emotion and humour, it all comes together to create a fantastically directed show leading the audience itching to know what happens in the next episode,’ another added.
