SOUTHEND'S non-league clash against Boston United was SUSPENDED due to weather conditions. The National League game kicked off under heavy fog in Lincolnshire. But after just seven minutes players were taken off the pitch by the referee with the match suspended.
Around 20 minutes later officials were still deciding on what to do. Southend posted online: "The referee has decided to take another check on conditions in 10 minutes to see if anything improves. "The game remains suspended and a final decision will be made at that point.".
