Ohio State QB Will Howard's stunning girlfriend in tears as Buckeyes clinch national championship

After Ohio State's Will Howard completed a downfield pass to Jeremiah Smith for a 56-yard gain, essentially clinching the national title for the Buckeyes, camera's panned to his girlfriend, Lauren Leiker, crying tears of joy in the crowd. Leiker was surrounded by her boyfriend's parents, Bob and Maureen Howard, all of whom were in Buckeye red.

Howard has kept a low profile for his dating as a college quarterback, with him and Leiker rarely photographed together on his social media. The couple have been dating for around two years, as they are pictured together during Howard's days as Kansas State's quarterback in April 2023.
After Smith's reception, Leiker can be seen leaning on someone else from Howard's inner circle before the the tears started flowing. Even with more than two minutes left in the then-one-possession game, the Fighting Irish having one timeout remaining allowed for the celebrations to begin before the clock read all zeroes.

Once the game ended, Leiker made her way down to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium turf to meet Howard, who turned his national-championship hat backwards to kiss his girlfriend. After Leiker's reaction, cameras panned to Buckeyes superfan LeBron James in the crowd giving out high fives that his home-state university was about to become national champions.
