One Direction reveal final gesture to honour the memory of their late bandmate and friend Liam Payne - three-months on from his tragic death

One Direction are re-releasing their 2013 documentary This Is Us in cinemas for one night only on Tuesday, with the band donating the proceeds to charities in honour of the late Liam Payne. Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles were left devastated when their bandmate and friend fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Argentina on October 16.
Now the doc, will followed the band on tour, will be shown in Odeon cinemas with all ticket sales going to mental health charities MIND, SAMH and AWARE NI in Payne's honour. The late singer was candid about his mental health struggles and substance abuse issues, admitting to having 'severe suicidal thoughts' and a heavy drug use during his time in the chart topping band.
Announcing the news on Instagram, Odeon wrote: 'By popular demand, and in tribute to the late Liam Payne, we're bringing One Direction: This is Us back to the big screen January 14'. The film was first released in 2013 and directed by Morgan Spurlock, who lost his battle with cancer last year aged 53, and was a huge success grossing a whopping $68 million worldwide.
