ORIGINAL Del Boy actor David Jason gives his seal of approval to the cast of Only Fools And Horses The Musical as it opens at London’s Eventim Apollo. The national treasure, 84, was in the audience for the show and met the cast including Paul Whitehouse, 66, Vinnie Jones, 59.
Speaking about the show to The Sun, he said: “It’s hysterical. It’s very, very good. "What I did like about it was that so much of the original script was used and they did it so well that sometimes it even took me by surprise and I was laughing.
“So the whole show was a memory for me of the whole thing: the script, the characters - it was lovely to see them all. “And everybody was working so well together, very much like we did originally, so I’m going to have a boo now, because I’m so moved.”.
Vinnie, who is playing Danny Driscoll for the run in London until January 5, was also joined by his new girlfriend Emma Ford. Asked about the atmosphere in the room, David said: “It was unbelievable. They got a standing ovation at the end. “I had to get out. I was embarrassed. How dare they get a standing ovation and I missed out on it.”.
