This time of year screams out for binge-worthy, crime fueled British dramas, and the start of 2025 is delivering in spades. Your next big watch? Out There, a new ITV and ITVX drama starring Martin Clunes, a farmer confronted with dark forces creeping into his rural community arriving this week.

It’s set to be a nail-biter, but who's who in the cast?. The main man himself, Nathan, is a grieving single father struggling to connect with his teenage son, Johnny. Their tension escalates when Johnny gets caught up in the drugs scene. A dark industry always hungry for new markets, this time, weaving itself into the agriculture world. Martin is forced to tackle the eruption of chaos before the unspeakable occurs.

Clunes is an English actor, director and OBE. Born in 1961 in Wimbledon, he got his start at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester before moving onto the London stage. He’s best known for playing the main character ITV comedy Doc Martin, Gary Strang in Men Behaving Badly and William Shawcross in William and Mary.

This latest role is also something he says is personal to him, as he has a family background in farming. "I’m very happy to be working with Marc Evans and Ed Whitmore again after the success of Manhunt. Out There couldn’t be more different from Doc Martin. It’s pretty dark, but definitely a story worth telling,” he says.
