Paul Scholes criticises Ruben Amorim decision during Manchester United’s FA Cup win vs Leicester Paul Scholes appeared to criticise Ruben Amorim’s tactics during Manchester United’s last-gasp victory against Leicester City in the FA Cup on Friday night.
Patrick Dorgu was handed his debut for United following his £29 million move in the final week of the January transfer window but the 20-year-old wing-back started the game on the right side, despite primarily playing on the opposite flank for Lecce.
Speaking after United’s win, Amorim defended his decision to play Dorgu on the right, despite the Denmark international being substituted at half time.
Asked if Dorgu will play on the right in future games for United, Amorim replied: ‘Yes.
Again, if you’re going to see the history of Dorgu in the last team, he played a lot of games also on the right.
