And appearing in a TNT Sports social media video, Red Devils icon Scholes revealed who his picks to keep and sell would be out of selected players in the squad. Starting out with Andre Onana, Scholes said he would keep the goalkeeper as there "more to come" from him.

Next was summer signing Matthijs de Ligt, with Scholes saying that despite improving recently he would sell the defender. Lisandro Martinez suffered the same fate as De Ligt for the same reasons. Luke Shaw and Mason Mount were also put on the chopping block because they are "never fit," despite Scholes expressing his love for the players.

Casemiro was next on the list, with Scholes saying he was a "fantastic player" but that now was the right time to sell. Scholes' ruthless cull of the squad was finally stopped when discussing Kobbie Mainoo. The 50-year-old said he would keep the midfielder, describing him as "one of the brightest talents this club has got".
