Pep Guardiola made a staggering admission that he 'is not good enough' as Manchester City are 'getting worse and worse' following defeat to Manchester United. City have been on a torrid run of late but found themselves leading at home to their local rivals with 87 minutes gone.

But City inexplicably shot themselves in the foot as Bruno Fernandes' 88th-minute penalty was followed up by a 90th-minute winner from man-of-the-match Amad Diallo to leave City fifth in the league with title hopes fading fast. 'I'm not good enough, I'm not doing well,' Guardiola staggeringly said in his press conference.

'I am the boss, the manager, I have to find solutions and so far I haven't. That's the reality. 'We want to play better, create chances. But at the moment it's not possible.'. Pep Guardiola turned the criticism in on himself after Man City's eighth defeat in last 11 games.

Bruno Fernandes scored an 88th-minute penalty to equalise for Manchester United. It went from bad to worse for Manchester City when Amad Diallo scored a last-minute winner. City have won just once in their last 11 matches in all competitions - defeating Nottingham Forest - and have lost eight games in that run.

'This year it happens many times unfortunately. We gave away many things,' Guardiola added to Sky Sports. 'We are not nice in the way we played. Before it's so fluid, now we're struggling for different reasons. A lot of defeats. 'We put everything in and the game was almost closed. They had more possession first half but nothing special. We give away two goals, very difficult.
