Pep Guardiola saw his side go ANOTHER game without a win and admitted his struggling champions need an injection of new blood in the upcoming transfer window. Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye cancelled out Bernardo Silva’s early strike and Erling Haaland had a second half penalty saved by Jordan Pickford as Manchester City ’s shocking run stretched to one victory in 13 matches.

"If we can, we have to add players in January, definitely,” said Guardiola. “I think even the players asked ourselves … we are going to add some players?! Please!. "The winter (window) is not easy. We have to add some players but we have to bring players for the next three, four, five years - and that is not easy.".

Guardiola had eight senior players missing for the draw with Sean Dyche’s side, with Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish the latest to be sidelined. "Kyle has flu, a virus. Jack, yesterday or the day before, felt something muscular again. I don’t know the reason why,” sighed Guardiola, who claimed he was pleased with another scrappy performance from his side.

"First half was brilliant but the first time they arrive, they score a goal. “We had the chances afterwards. The rest of the game was well played. We played really good but we are in the period right now that this is what happens - we create, we concede.

"The performance against that team was really good offensively and defensively. We shot a lot inside the 18 yard box but unfortunately couldn't get the result we wanted.". Dyche insisted a draw was a fair result and is impressed with how resilient his Everton team has become.
