Christmas is just around the corner, and people are rushing to the stores to do some last minute shopping. If you're on a budget, or simply have run out of ideas of what to get for people, we've got the perfect solution for you, as it will only cost you a fiver and can be adapted to fit anyone.
Personal finance influencer Demi Jackson-Fortey shared her tips for getting the most of your gifting Christmas budget and shared how to make a personalised reading book bundle for under a fiver. She began by going to the charity shop where she picked out a book for £2.45 - but if you're lucky you can find even cheaper ones. This can be tailored to the recipient's interests. Whether it's romantic fiction or historical non-fiction, you can find a book for anyone.
The second thing she added to the gift was a homemade bookmark, which she made by cutting a piece of patterned wrapping paper and gluing it to a thin piece of cardboard for added stability. This ended up costing her nothing as she already had all of the supplies needed at home.
The two final things she managed to get while doing a food shop. The first thing she did was to go to the sweets aisle where she picked up a bar of chocolate for £1.25. And what is a Christmas reading session without a hot drink. Demi also thought this as she picked up one final thing for the gift set - a 35p hot chocolate sachet.
She then wrapped everything up together nicely in wrapping paper, making the total amount spent on the present £4.05. Viewers loved this gift idea, and said it's perfect if you don't want to spend a huge amount of money on presents for family or friends.
