Ash Pollard has weighed in on why long-term couples don't need to be in a rush to walk down the aisle. The former My Kitchen Rules star, 38, who shares two daughters with her partner of seven years, Pete Ferne, made the surprising revelation in a post to her social media on Sunday.

And many of her 126K followers agreed with Ash's decision to stay unmarried to her long-term beau. In the post, Ash included a gallery of photos of herself and Pete in a romantic setting surrounded by flowers and candles 'acting out' a wedding ceremony.

In the pictures, Ash could be seen in a smart white frock, while Pete was dressed in a pair of shorts as one of their children watched while they shared a kiss. 'Happy New Year from us! Still unmarried, but forced to act out what a wedding looks like so the kids understand the concept,' she wrote in the caption.
