Premier League supercomputer predicts contrasting fortunes for Liverpool and Man Utd after draw

Liverpool are still set to cruise to the Premier League title, according to a supercomputer, which has predicted a bottom-half finish for Manchester United. The Reds had the chance to further extend their lead at the summit but were held by a spirited United performance as they left Anfield with a point on Sunday. Ruben Amorim has been forced to address the prospect of relegation, such has been the team's decline.
That unthinkable reality is avoided, if the algorithms are to be trusted, but the Manchester outfit will still endure their worst ever Premier League season as they finish in the bottom half for the first time. Liverpool meanwhile already have a healthy lead and have been tipped to eventually claim the title by 12 points from Arsenal. The Gunners were hoping their third time would be charm but instead they may have to accept second spot for the third year on the bounce.
Manchester City have been backed to utilise their powers of recovery and eventually finish third. A poor few months has seen them slide down the table and Pep Guardiola's immediate priority will be ensuring they're still a Champions League outfit next season. Chelsea also make a welcome return to Europe's top table.
The battle for the European spots remains congested with a host of clubs putting their hands up. Those at JeffBet believe it will be Fulham who are best of the rest with a fifth-placed finish - their best ever in the top flight as Marco Silva continues to punch above his weight.
