The daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia is spending six months aboard tall ship Juan Sebastian Elcano, which is touring two oceans, 10 ports and eight countries around the Americas.
During the ceremony, the King of Spain welcomes a number of official guests including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defence, the Chief of defence the Chiefs of Staff of all branches, the Grand Masters of the Royal and Military Orders of San Fernando and San Hermenegildo, the Civil Guard chiefs and Spanish Veterans Brotherhood.
Setting sail: Princess Leonor of Spain showed she is fearless as she climbed the navy tall ship Juan Sebastian Elcano to help tie the sails.
Leonor - who began three years of military training in 2023 - showed off the typical duties expected of a naval cadet, including the maintenance and cleaning of the boat.
