A RARELY-SEEN Nineties heartthrob left pop fans doing a double take after he was spotted shopping in London wrapped up in chunky winter knits. The boyband icon, who has quit fame for a quiet life, looked determined to stay snug as he picked up groceries at Planet Organic in Hampstead.

Take That singer Jason Orange, 54, was almost unrecognisable in an oversized brown cardigan worn with a grey hoodie underneath. He pulled on a pair of black joggers and chunky brown boots for the outing, accessorising with sunglasses and cream mittens.

The Back For Good hitmaker appeared adamant to go incognito, looking straight ahead as he entered the store and hopping into his Mercedes once he rounded off his shop. Jason rose to fame alongside his bandmates Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams and Howard Donald when Take That stormed the charts in the 90s.

Robbie left the group in 1995, and the band split the following year in 1996. However, they then reformed as a four piece in 2005, with Jason firmly part of the fixture. However, he opted to quit the band and shun fame entirely in the hopes of a quieter life in 2014.

At the time of his departure, Jason said: "I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years. "I have spent some of the best years of my life with Take That and I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey, including my band mates, who I feel are like brothers to me.".
